This year, the Uhuru Movement will be taking ALD events to new levels by hosting our 1st African Socialist International (ASI) regional conference in North America. This is a very special undertaking as this part of a global effort to unify the African working class all over the world. Our first ASI regional conference was in October 2008 in Sierra Leone, West Africa with over 500 African organizations in attendance.

ALD/ASI will consist of a three day event the weekend of May 22nd - 24th, 2009. During this weekend, we will be hosting an African Attire Banquet (Friday Night) and a two day conference (Saturday and Sunday).
