Tonnerre, while being drunk is said to have exclaimed, after reading a first draft of the Act of Independence by the mulatto Charéron: "All that which has been formulated is not in accordance with our true feelings; to draw up the Act of Independence, we need the skin of a white man for parchment, his skull for a writing desk [Inkwell?], his blood for ink, and a bayonet for pen."

Masters

The words of wisdom from the ancient African Tehuti that are found in The Kybalion are more important today than ever before. They reaffirm our mission in this game of life. Tehuti said: "But the Masters, knowing the rules of the game, rise above the plane of material life, and placing themselves in touch with the higher powers of their nature, dominate their own moods, characters, qualities, and polarity as well as the environment surrounding them and thus become movers in the game, instead of Pawns - Causes instead of Effects."

Lowndes County, Alabama

[BACKGROUND: Alabama was notorious for using the so-called "literacy test" to deny Blacks the right to vote. In truth, the state's "education system" was so abysmal that many Blacks and poor whites were illiterate or semi-literate. But the white power structure made sure that illiterate whites were allowed to register and vote regardless.
Because so many illiterate whites were unable to read the names of the political parties or candidates on the ballot, Alabama law allowed each party to have a… Continue

Strange Fruit

Southern trees bear strange fruit
Blood on the leaves and blood on the root
Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze
Strange fruit hanging from the poplar tees
Pastoral scene of the gallant south,
The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth,
Scent of magnlas, sweet and fresh,
Then the sudden smell of burning flesh
Here is fruit for the crows to pluck
For the rain to gather, for the wind to suck
For the sun to rot, for the trees to drop,
Here is a strange and bitter crop

“THE CYCLE”

Listen to the commercial (mp3) http://www.esnips.com/doc/9e0bcb0b-a33b-4e45-b195-b1097896cddf/cyclecommercialfinal

FAM Entertainment Theater Co, NFP.
(FOCUSING ON ACHIEVEMENT & MOTIVATION THROUGH ENTERTAINMENT)

“The Cycle” is a theatrical trilogy and an awakening theatrical expression that provides us with a reason why every individual acts, thinks and chooses different paths in life. This is what we call a “Cycle”. It represents the reoccurring issues in ones life that just won’t let go of you. And illustrates how we form habits of living through heredity, education, society and even friends.

However, the true definition of change is a release from one’s past that develops into an innovative mind for your future. Therefore a renewal of the mind must take place in order to completely break the often at times destructive series of life.

This purpose driven theatre piece to will provide: Provision for needs, long-suffering for habits, joy for sorrow, strength for the weak and assurance for the strong.

These performances will be dedicated to:

THOSE WHO:

SHAPE THE WORLD
DEMONSTRATE LEADERSHIP
UNCOVER UNLIMITED POSSIBLITIES
IMPACT OUR PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE
EXHIBIT EXTRADORDINARY DEDICATION
VISION SUCCESS
BUILT THIS NATION

Educators, Mentors, Community Organizers, Faith-Based Organizations, Providers, Counselors, Cooks, Wives, Mothers, Aunts, and those committed to service and who have been role models for our children since the beginning of time in the Chicago land and surrounding areas will be invited and celebrated as they enjoy this enlightening theatrical piece.
